Some of our projects vary from community development to communications to technical reports field sites are in remote locations and having interns with other skills – be it in language, early childhood education, film or documentary experience or other skills might be useful.

We have limited openings for interns and our positions are competitive so preference will be given to those with relevant qualifications and to longer term internships.

Hear from our past interns.

“My internship with Wild Asia was based within the Responsible Tourism Initiative where I helped out with the marketing and communication of the Responsible Tourism Awards. I assisted with launch of the awards, supported promotional activities and sourced new partners. My time here has helped me to understand how organisation like this one works and was a very valuable experience for my future career.” – Agata Zborowska

“As a Master Student in Sustainable Tourism Management at the University of Applied Sciences, Eberswalde, Germany, I have chosen Wild Asia for my practical training because of its Responsible Tourism activities in Asia. Being in the Wild Asia office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for six months allows me to have a closer look into the Wild Asia working procedures, their efforts within this field and to get involved in Wild Asia Responsible Tourism Initiative. During this time I also will visit positive and negative examples of tourism operators in Malaysia as well as biodiversity hotspots, which are currently experiencing a very fast growing tourism development.” – Anne Zummach
